i had found a recipe for a crustless pecan tassie on this site (a swapped recipe) and i'm unable to find it now or any other tassie recipe----------does anyone have this-----------

What are Tassies? I have never heard of them. Do you have the recipe to post on here?
I like to try new things for my family.

would you believe that i got the frst recipe fpr regular tassis typed in and checked and when i hit the submit button ----everything went gooey-----------now that i'm back in ---the recipe is not in my recipe box--------tell me ------this is the first i've entered a recipe since all the changes-tell me how long before they add it to my recipe box?

i actually found 2 recipes copied from swapped recipes on 12/13/09 for the regular kind------but they are no longer with us

tassies are a mini-tart
like a one-bite pecan pie

pecan tassies

pastry:

3 oz cream cheese
1 stick unsalted butter
1 cup all purpose flour
dash of salt

blend together cream cheese, butter flour and salt. shape into 24 balls , press each ball into 1 3/4" mini-muffin tins. press dough onto the bottom and sides with fingers or a tassie tamper if you have one. do not leave any holes in crusts.

Filling:

2 eggs, beaten
1 cup brown sugar, packed
2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla
dash of salt

1 cup chopped pecans

combine eggs, brown sugar , butter, vanilla and salt. mix well by hand (a mixer will change texture)

divide pecans evenly into pastry shells. pour filling over pecans, 2/3 full.

bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 mins . cool slightly before removing from pans. Finish cooling on racks

I love eating Pecan Tassies but I hate making them.
Quite a bit of work to be gobbled up in a mater of moments and quite often I do not get but 1. The one that was consumed for "quality control" so it does not even count..
Oh, Nancy another Rule for the Cookie Rules!..Cookies consumed for quality control have no calories.

Bake at 325 degrees for 20-25 mins. and slightly cool in pans and the on a rack. i love both kinds but had to quit making the crusts because of the limitations of my hands----------and my b-i-l approved this version when i made them 2 yrs ago-----------then last year i couldn't find this and he really missed them-- my mother would make me about 10 dz every yr because my office had kind of open house on christmas week for everyone---------the tassies were gobbled first

Thanks so much for posting this one Nellie. I have the regular one that I got from a friend years ago, but this sounds so much easier(and a lot less calories lol). They are so good!
