Well I bought 24 cans of pineapple yesterday,sliced crushed and tidbits.Great deal @.75 cents a can.I also bought bananas and walnuts so I think you know where I'm going with this.Crushed will be used for this cake,slices for pineapple upside down cake and to put on ham and tidbits to eat.I love pineapple over cottage cheese.I also make a sort of cheese pie with crushed pineapple and home made ricotta.

I still haven't decided what dessert to take to the church dinner on Sunday.   I think that this cake is probably the best.

Well it is a great cake,but that pumpkin trifle is also a winner.I'm going to make the trifle for Christmas this year.

I keep thinking about making the pineapple stuff in a 9x13 pan or more cupcakes ....... either way would be easy to serve at a big church dinner
How do you serve the trifle?

The trifle is put together in a large clear bowl,such as a punch bowl ,it is layered and makes a very nice presentation.If you do make it ,refrigerate over night and it gets real cold,it is very good.It is spooned onto your plate and eaten with a spoon or fork what ever you like.

Thanks Gale --- that souinds so lovely. 
I'll have to try it sometime.  But this Sunday our two 'fridges are too crowded for desserts and a glass bowl is in danger- lol.  I'll take the pineapple banana as cupcakes - easy to serve and eat and easy to give away the left-overs.

Gale, have you done the Pineapple Banana Nut Cake in a Bundt Pan?  If so how long is the bake time?
My guess would be about 50 minutes.  Give or take..

Hi Nikki,No I haven't,but that does sound good.I would think 50 mins.Maybe check it after 40 mins,but it might need more time.better safe than sorry.
