PREHEAT OVEN 350* Bake 30-40 mins check after 30 minIn a large bowl mix together well : 3 cups flour, 2 cups sugar, 1 teas. baking soda, 1 teas.cinnamon, 1/2 teas. saltIn another bowl mix together to blend well: 1 cup oil, 2 cups sliced bananas, 1 cup undrained crushed pineapple, 3 eggs, 2 teas. vanilla, 1 cup chopped walnuts, stir in flour mixture and mix well. pour into a greased 9x13 or 2 -9" cake pans bake as instructed above remove from cake pans and cool completely on cooling racks.I cooled in 9x13 pan and served from cake pan.When completely cool frost with frosting below. FROSTING: 2-8oz. cream cheese,2 sticks unsalted butter at room temperature,2 teas. vanilla, 3 cups powder sugar.This makes a large amout of frosting,I was able to frost the 9x13 cake left in the pan with 1/2 frosting recipe. Beat together the cream cheese and butter until completely mixed,beat in vanilla,then add and beat in one cup of powder sugar at a time beating well after each addition.Frost cake.More nuts can be sprinkled on top if desired.Store cake in fridge.This is a rich moist cake ,just wonderful. Thank you -- this is one I'll try. I don't do many cakes but this sounds so very good.I love banana, I love pineapple and I love nuts .... what a combination.Think I could add a cup of coconut?

Chocolate Chip Banana cake1/2 c oil
2 eggs
1 t vanilla
2 c sugar
3 bananas
2 t baking powder
2 t baking soda
3 c flour
1 c sour cream or plain yogurt
1 t cinnamon
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1/2 cup brown sugar
Cream oil and sugar ( I only use 1 1/2 c sugar), add eggs.
Beat until smooth. Add and banana. Mix flour, baking powder
and soda' add to banana mixture alternately with` sour cream,
ending with dry ingredients. Pour 1/2 batter into greases 9x13 pan.
Sprinkle with half the cinnamon/brown sugar mixture and chips.
repeat layers Bake at 350 for about 44 to 50 minutes
