WHAT ARE UDON NOODLES
Posted by ramya s

Udon noodles are a type of Asian noodle it is made from wheat. If your store carries them they would be by the Asisan food section..We have the Asian plaza here in Cleveland where everything is available. There are many little shops and restaurants there under one roof. They carry live fish, turtles and frogs for their dining pleasure not mine LOL! Well the fish would be OK I would have to think about the other two .Near where I live there are two Asian grocery stores which carry just about everything and if they don't they will order it for you.

Hi Vicki people do eat turtle.I have caught a couple of snapping turtles while fishing but we never ate them, just let them go..Here in Ohio people do catch them to eat Here is a link to turtle recipes and other wild game.I would like to taste it but haven't had the opportunity to do so
The Turtles I saw at the Asian plaza weren't snapping turtles.

I had a wonderful friend I used to work with.  He never drank water, except for the water in the ice cubes for his vodka, he always said "fish live in water do you know what they do in the water? I'm not going to drink that"
Thanks for the chuckle I got when I read your comment.

By the way the reason I would not eat turtle is that I think so many are endangered I would not like to think of anyone eating them.
I have also had pet turtles but box turtles have been favorites.  I have had aquatic ones as well, soft shelled mud turtles and red eared sliders and painted (that is the type not that it had a painting on them like they used to do 50 years ago.)
The only turtle I would consider eating would be a snapper, I can't stand them, scared of them, they are mean!!!
