Nikki... The recipe that I have is from Land O Lakes and is called Caramel Shortbread Sticks. Caramel and pecans flavor these rich shortbread sticks.  Sorry, no mention of choc.!  If you still want the recipe, let me know and I will post if for you.

I made the Sticky Ginger Squares that Nikki  said were so good.  They are yummy!! I printed the recipe from the kingarthurflour.com site! My Mom would have loved these squares! I would always take her a container of crystallized ginger when I went back to MI to see her. Another great recipe Nikki!!

Carol, I am so glad you liked the Sticky Ginger Squares. Quite often when I recommend a recipe like that, one with a definite strong flavor I get worried that someone may not find it as good as I do.  Ginger is one of the things that you either like or not.
Another one to try look for the Raspberry Truffle Squares. Very good, looks and tastes fancy but is really pretty easy.  If you try it use parchment paper it will make removing the squares easier.

Nikki,  I agree with you on the Sticky Ginger Squares, you have to like ginger. Hubby
really liked them too.  I make a ginger dipping sauce with fresh ginger, so we are
used to ginger. 
I will look at the Raspberry Truffle Squares. I have raspberry jam in stock and fresh
raspberries are on sale $1.25 for 6oz.  Thanks for the tip on the use of parchment
paper. I always have parchment paper on hand. Any recipe that has both raspberry
and truffle in it has to be good!!  Thank you so much!!

In our Prayer postings I asked you to pray for a very special County Sheriff who is fighting a very rare, very horrible type of cancer.
A wives org. is offering lunch and dinner - hot dogs, hamburgers and BAKE SALE ITEMS, on the 29th and 30th.  They need help and the bake sale items.  I've signed up for both on both days.  Just think of the cookies I can sell to earn $ for a great man.

Thanks Gale -- Everyone please pray for our much loved County Sheriff.
This afternoon I made the dough for a cookie studded with crushed candy canes, the regular chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal, raisin cookies.   All the dough is in the 'fridge and I hope to bake tonight after it cools off here.

If anyone here has experience with a bake sale, I would appreciate any suggestions.

I have a bunch of banannas that I love to eat because they are tasty and healthful, but they usually get to the very ripe stage, so I will be making bananna nut bread. Great for breakfast.

I Just took Bakery1G's peach bread pudding out of the oven,it looks and tastes great,I just had to taste a little.My family loves bread pudding and I know that they will love it.I'm serving it with whipped cream .Thanks again for a great recipe.

Yesterday evening I made a batch of dough for the Snickers Peanut Butter Cookies
and stuck it in the 'fridge overnight.
I just finished baking them and - wow - they are good.
This evening I plan on making a batch of Ice Cream Sundae cookies.

I just finished Chocolate Chip cookies too.....I make mine with Butter Flavor Crisco and everyone around town loves them for some reason....lol  ....I make at a minium of 15 dozen at a time because they go so fast. Happy Baking Everyone!

Here is the recipe for the:
CARAMEL SHORTBREAD STICKS

COOKIE
1/2 CUP BUTTER, SOFTENED
1/4 POWDERED SUGAR
2 TABLESPOONS FIRMLY PACKED BROWN SUGAR
1 CUP ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
1/4 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
1/4 TEASPOON SALT

TOPPING
30 UNWRAPPED CARAMELS
1 TABLESPOON HALF & HALF
1/2 CUP CHOPPED PECANS

DIRECTIONS
HEAT OVEN TO 325*.  COMBINE BUTTER, POWDERED SUGAR AND BROWN SUGAR IN LARGE BOWL.  BEAT AT MED. SPEED, SCRAPING BOWL OFTEN, UNTIL CREAMY.  REDUCE SPEED TO LOW; ADD FLOUR,  BAKING POWDER AND SALT.  BEAT UNTIL WELL MIXED.
PRESS DOUGH EVENLY INTO A 8- INCH SQUARE BAKING PAN LINED IN ALUM. FOIL; PUNCTURE WITH TINES OF FORK EVERY 1/2 INCH.  BAKE FOR 25 TO 30 MINUTES OR UNTIL GOLDEN BROWN.  LIFT COOKIES FROM PAN USING ALUM. FOIL.  IMMEDIATELY CUT INTO 20 (APPROX. 4 X 1/2 INCH) STICK.  COOL COMPLETELY.
PLACE CARAMELS AND HALF & HALF IN MICROWAVE-SAFE BOWL.  MICROWAVE ON HIGH, STIRRING TWICE, UNTIL CARAMELS ARE MELTED (1 TO 2 MINUTES).  DIP ENDS OF SHORTBREAD STICKS INTO MELTED CARAMEL MIXTURE; ROLL IN PECANS.  PLACE ONTO WAXED PAPER; LET STAND UNTIL SET.
