 I am not turning on my oven.   We've had record temperatures for 5 days in a row.......over 100*.  Today it's going to be 105*.

due to a lot of weather around us our highs have been in 80's all weekend----------might as well take advantage of it

i'm thawing a pkg of bone-in breasts to oven-fry later--------and probably another batch of those peach cobbler muffins

I just took out of the oven, a pan of banana blueberry muffins.  Oven only has to be on about 15 minutes.  It will be hot today, but here it is still only  90.  One of the advantages of living where there's no heat saving pavement

GRANA here;It's Sunday.Being pre-warned ofthisweekend's expected 90' temps &I pre-baked blueberry bran muffins earlier in the week so that coould take the  dayoff &  rest, whilestill enjoying homemade muffins @ brunch.....no baking orcooking todayWinkA few seconds in the microwave oven to reheat & I have hot from the oven muffins Laughing; w/ no heating  up the house!Undecided

Hi there.
Today I baked a pan of zucchini brownies.  Turned out so-so.  DH said they were good because they weren't overly sweet.  True, but I think they were alittle dry.
Wish I would have just made zucchini bread instead.

Lori, I was just thinking about zucchini brownies.  In fact I was going to do a web search for a recipe.  I do have zucchini and last week made chocolate zuchhini cake.

I searched for zucchini brownies and the recipes don't look very different from the zuccnini chocolate cake I made last week.  Will try one anyway, since I have extra zucchini

My oven is going to be cool for a few days.  Right now it is 97 degrees, and it's supposed to be HOTTER tomorrow and through Saturday.  Bob Evans......here we come!!!

This morning I made a double batch of banana cranberry muffins.  I had 2 bananas that were going over the hill and it takes one to make a batch of muffins.  I always have dried cranberries on hand.

Just took two loaves of the banana bread recipe Nancy posted out of the oven.  Can't wait for hubby to get home so we can sample the bread with a big glass of milk!!  Yum.

I decided to do the zucchini brownies, since i have so much zucchini.  i found a recipe and doubled it.  I put half of it into a jelly roll pan and the rest into a muffin pan.  I need to take something to a pot luck tomorrow so will take the jelly roll pan of "brownies".  The muffins are very moist and nearly didn't want to come out of the pan.  They taste really good. Funny recipe had no eggs in it.  I went back to the internet where I got it, thinking I may have missed the eggs and just didn't get them written.  Nope, no eggs.
