Toasting italiam herb bread in the oven with mozzarella and provolone cheese on it. I also took whole Yukon gold potatoes then sliced thinly but not al the way through, drizzled olive oil over them and seasoned with pepper and baked till tender. They looked really nice after baking as the slices spread apart a bit.
GRANA here;Todaywas suppsedto be groceryhopping day& lunch out.I planned no baking or cooking as that would be too much in one day.Hubby woke up w/ a`head cold( first one in many years)= no lunch out & no grocery shopping.It's raining & his being sick gave us a good excuse to not venture out today He made himself a BIG mug of tea & retired to the livingroom couch w/ a warm blanketNOON: I made some chicken noodle oup for our lunch .....I had broth only; he had extra noodles & extra tra chicken pieces, from the freezer.I had a frozen steamer lunch etree( Chicken verde brown rice w/ chicken , red bell pppers, hot chili peppers, corn , cilantro & lime juice; All my conserved energy was put to good use;I baked a batch of lemon shortbread cookies to go w/ all the hot tea I expect him to be drinking til he's better.They might even help him o get better faster?
