I just took a sour cream coffee cake out of my oven and put in a pan of granola.  My sister gave me a recipe for really good granola.  It isn't as sweet as purchased stuff.

I have to get back to baking cookies .... I have a couple bags in the freezer but not the usual supply.
I've been lazy for a week or two and Easter wiped out my "hoard" .

Today;I'm taking it easy: hubby has a head cold/flu & I 've just started coughing & sneezingFrown.
I will be baking some(frozen)French fries to go w/ the grilled cheese sandwihes & chicken -noodle soup for our lunch.
Fortunately, I already madeCool the meatballs & sausages( in sauce) for tonight's sub sandwichesSmile

Hi NANCY ; I have a few (4-5)pkgs ( 2 dozen each) . of cookie dough( pre- measured),  a few lemon bars, a pan of brownies & a cple. mud pies, in my freezer . Baked cookies don't last long, around here;
 the resident cookie monster always seems to find themCry.....hubby sure does love his cookies.Tongue out
I've got to clear out some space for berries &peaches before summer fruits are bountifulSmile
About 30  pre-mesured 93% lean  1/4# burgers are also taking up space.Tongue out

I'll be baking cookies tonight and again Thursday night for a couple of co-workers birthdays. I just haven't decided what kind of cookies I'll be baking! LOL

Nothing in my oven but I made 3 kinds of bread in my breadmaker this weekend: yeast bread, cinnamon raisin and potato.  Then I tried making banana bread in it (no yeast recipe), not as successful as if I had made it in the oven but it was worth a try.

Ann, I have a cookie monster in my house also.  I fill the jar and every time hubby goes by, he has to remove one.

I baked the two very special batches of cookies yesterday evening ....
 now I have to bake the White Chip Island dough.
Then I'm not baking any more until this condo is a little bit cleaner!!Frown


................... how many of you have tried the White Chip Island cookies?

Well, it wasn't exactly in MY oven, but I taught an Adult Ed class on cinnamon rolls tonight.  There were 9 pans of rolls in the ovens in the classroom.  Smelled really good and tasted even better.

Judy - Oh, how I wish I could get into one of your classed!!  Cinnamon rolls ~sigh~  Oh, how I wish I had a cinnamon roll.  How I wish I could bake one.
Today I'm going to make a batch of Nestles Dark Chocolate Crumb Bars.   They're fast, easy and very good but not a yeast treat.

Right now in my oven is a batch of the cinnamon rolls we made in class last night.  Each time I teach that class I have to go home and make a barch for us.  Can't wait until they come out.  I'll put the kettle on for tea to go with them.

Nancy, I just looked at the Dark Chocolate Crumb Bars and will definitely have to make them.  They look wonderful.

Judy - do try them the first chance you get .... they are really good. 
Of course I use pecans instead of walnuts and I use too many dark chocolate morsels on top.

Today I baked the chocolate chunk cookies with craisins and oatmeal that was posted on this site.  I also baked black bottom cupcakes which are chocolate with a cream cheese and choc chip baked into the cupcake.  These are so moist and yummy.  Too bad I'm not eating any of this good stuff - diet.  Tomorrow I'll bake a Welsh cookie that is done on a grill.  It has raisins and spices and is cut out like a biscuit.
