Nancy, I think instead of tossing it, I would have made it into a "bread" pudding. At least it wouldn't have gone to waste. I remember my mother making chocolate bread pudding using stale chocolate cake. it was very good.At least you got to eat the edges.
I wonder if I should keep baking cakes. I have total confidence in my cookies (hee hee, and I make very good divinity and peanut brittle) so maybe I should just forget that 9x13 stuff.
