Gale...Here is the recipe for THE BEST BUTTER COOKIES2 CUPS (4 STICKS) BUTTER, SOFTENED1 1/2 CUPS SUGAR2 EGGS1 TEAS. VANILLA5 CUPS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR2 TEAS. BAKING POWDER1/2 TEAS. SALTPREHEAT OVEN TO 375*. CREAM BUTTER AND SUGAR IN LARGE MIXING BOWL UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFLY. BEAT IN EGGS AND VANILLA. COMBINE FLOUR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT. GRADUALLY ADD TO BUTTER MIXTURE; MIX WELL. DIVIDE DOUGH IN FOURTHS. ROLL OUT ONE-FOURTH OF DOUGH AT A TIME ON LIGHTLY FLOURED SURFACE TO 1/8 INCH THICKNESS. KEEP REMAINING DOUGH REFRIGERATED. CUT INTO DESIRED SHAPES WITH FLOURED COOKIE CUTTERS. PLACE 1 INCH APART ON UNGREASED COOKIE SHEETS. BAKE 6-8 MINUTES OR UNTIL LIGHTLY BROWNED. TRANSFER COOKIES TO WIRE RACK; COOL COMPLETELY. (Now I bake for 7 minutes and I get about 4-5 dozen cookies. I also like my cut-outs on the fat side).ENJOY!

Last week I did a lot of baking. I made beer bread, corn muffins, banana bread and blueberry muffins. My husband was happy to get all the goodies.
nothing today,not feeling up to it.Susan I have not made the cream puff cake.I'm planning on that on Sunday when the kids are over for dinner.Something to look forward to.
