More cookies!!
A couple days ago I made some chocolate cookies with mint chips .... They were so good I stirred up two more batches this afternoon. They're in the fridge.     
Maybe I'll bake them tonight - maybe tomorrow morning.

The Nestles mint chips have a very mild mint flavor ---- I had intended to add a bit of peppermint flavor to these but forgot until too late.   Oh well - I'll try next time.

I made gingersnaps yesterday and they are almost gone already.  Will have to bake something with pears tomorrow.  My tree has tons of pears on it and I MUST use them.  I was thinking of Pear Cake.

Judy, a friend who volunteers with me at the hospital has a pear tree in her yard and she gave me a bag of them.  I made pear butter and added a bit of sugar and cinnamon to the pears as they cooked.  I kind of experimented in making it and just cooked the pears down until they looked like apple sauce.  Nice on toast for breakfast.

the recipe i was trying to post the other day was for slow cooker apple butter--------------but it didn't take
if you'd like i can add it here           because i'm sure YOU  can translate it to pears or whatever else you desire

MINT CHOCOLATE COOKIES is a great recipe I use all the time.   I add lots of Nestle's Mint chips ....

Mint Chocolate Cookies
375* - 8-10 min. - 4 1/2 doz
2 1/4 c flour,
1/2 c. cocoa,
1 t. baking soda,
1/2 t. salt
1C butter, softened,
1 c packed brown sugar,
3/4 c. white sugar,
1 t. vanilla extract,
2 large eggs
1 c. semi - sweet choc chips and
1 c. andes mint pieces.
(I use lots and lots of Nestles Mint Chips)

Combine flour, coca, baking soda and salt in small bowl.
Beat butter, and sugars and vanilla until creamy beat in eggs
about 2 minutes. gradually add dry ingredients, stir in candy
pieces. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes let cool on pan
for 2 minutes - makes 4 1/2 doz.

We made pumpkin bread today and it made the house smell so good!  The bread turned really tasty, I probably should have made a double batch.  I just love the cooler weather, it makes me want to bake a lot more often.

Hi Nellie.  I've made apple butter in the crock pot and we enjoy it.  I had so few pears, I just cooked them down on the top of the stove.  Thank you for the offer.  I really enjoy your posts.

No baking today,I'll be at the hospital  for another 7+ hrs pre-op  labs, exams& paperworkFrown

 Today,I made/baked 8 buckwheat wafffles&  4 jumbo buckwheat granola Dutch apple pancakes.The wffles were made in a waffe maker(kind of a baking process; so I baked buckwheat waffles.
All /are pkg & frozen  to enjoy  during my  recovery from surgery  next week& for awhile, Coolafterwards ; a special treat for us both that will only  need micro oven reheating &   topping w/ either  maple  syrup or vanilla yogurt,  a side of fresh fruit o be " A MEAL"( whole  grains; protein & fruits.Tongue out yummy yummy
