I've decided I'm making a lemon cheesecake for Easter. Betty Crocker sent me a calender and each month has a new recipe. April has a lovely looking lemon cheesecake. It has lemon pudding mixed into the cream cheese. It calls for 2 little containers of pudding, but of course I don't buy ready made pudding. I'll make a package of instant lemon pudding and use that. Does anybody out there know if the little containers of pudding are instant? I figured they weren't the cooked kind.

Judy O, I have the same calender and the cheesecake looks awesome. It calls for 3 containers(3.5 oz each)
of the 4 pack container. I've never really looked for it in the store but I'm wondering if you make lemon pudding
and put the exact oz in if that would work. I know that cheesecakes have exact measurements so am a little
uneasy about it. Good luck and let us know it you try it!!!!

I fried up some corn friiters & crispy hadock filets for lunch; not baking, but I hope it counts

hubby micro-baked some reruns for dinner so that I could spend even more time, here on VBB

Gale, Thanks for posting it so quick. I've printed it and another for my Italian friend. She wants to try
it too. She's in her upper 80's and still baking! Sorry about your husband, I hope he is going to be

Tonight wil start a baking frenzy....First with My eldest's birthday cake and ending with his sister's birthday fruit pizza.....Having birthday party for all members of the my family, since all 5 of our birthdays are 3 weeks apart (3 between April 20 & April 25 and 2 between May 13 and 15th)....It is like Christmas all over again!

I'm going to try it and will let you know how it turned out. I looked at the containers in the store the other day and it looks like each may containe about 1/2 cup. My husband chooses his birthday cake by the picture and liked the looks of the March cake. It turned out very good.

Three of my grandkids are coming over for dinner ( their parents are out of town) so I will bake up some of the ready made cookie dough that I bought from one of my other grandkids as a money raiser for her school. Is that Cheating? I have to use that dough for something!

After I got done "talking" with you guys yesterday I decided I needed to make a batch of cookies. I chose oatmeal with raisins, lots of cinnamon and nutmeg and walnuts. Turned out very good. I used the Smart Balance sticks for baking instead of butter like I usually do. I never use regular margarine because of the trans fat. Guess the smart balance worked ok because the cookies were great. I think they spread a bit more than they do with butter.

I have the same calendar. It does look delicious.

I had the oven on today, but did not bake goodies. I baked a four pound turkey loaf. I will cut it in pieces, wrap it in alum. foil, label it wth the name and the date and freeze it for quick meals when necessary. Also made baked potatoes and string beans. Did not make the beans in the oven though.

I awokw@ 2AM & at 0500 hrs was unable to get backto sleep & hoped to o something "quiet "to aowhubby to sleep in this AM.

Nothing in my oven today, except the pot roast & kasha pilaf reruns, heated in the microwave ( oven)
I took the day off from cooking today,
hubby made his own omelet for lunch & I just had a toasted 1/2 bagel & a BIG mug of
hot tea.
