I just recently made from Swans down cake flour  it's on the box. MIne always seems to fall to pieces .
I only had like  half a stick of butter , but I substituted margarine for butter it seemed to do a little bit better as far as holding
together ; but when I frosted it  it started tearing apart  on top .

Good morning, and welcome, Mary Ellen. I just did a quick search online, and there are 3 different molds on Amazon at:
http://www.amazon.com/Peace-Cake-Novelty-Baking-Pan/dp/B001JS69NO .

Also found a few pictures of regular cakes with peace sign decorations.

Have fun with your granddaughter!

i think my grandmother used to make this one.  She never used a recipe but only made yellow cakes.  She always made a cooked fudge frosting for them.  Yum!

Hi Judy,My favorite cooked frostings! My torte recipes call for cooked frostings, it just doesn't get better than that!
