This is the new cookie that was published in the newspaper with the 75 cent coupon from Nestle. It just is not as the old recipe.

I went over and over the ingredients to assure myself that I had not made an error and I did not, it just is not that good.

Oh, I'm sorry this happened to you Barbara.  I hope you have better results with the next.  What is your original recipe?

Luciana - this site has many snowball cookies ---- just type that in the "Search" area on the right at the top of this page.  You will be taken to the recipes.

Sometimes an old recipe is better than new ones.

I call this cookie "SANDIES" OR "MEXICAN WEDDING CAKES"  and it's one of my favorites.  This is the recipe I use.

SANDIES - MEXICAN WEDDING CAKES
3 DOZ. - 325* - 20 MINUTES
1 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
2 tsp water
2 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 cup nuts
Shape into small balls - bake 20 minutes at 325.
Cool slightly and roll in confectioners sugar

** I make these very, very small and bake 14-16 minutes.
Depending on size I get between 60 and 85 cookies instead
of the 36 listed.  And I used lots more pecans - finely chopped

I also use this recipe Nancy!  My recipe calls for the cookie dough to be refrigerated overnight but that 's the only difference!  I also get a ton out of the batch like you do! Smile

My recipe doesn't ask for refrigeration but I give it anyhow.  I refrigerate almost every cookie dough overnight or, at least several hours.

Barbara, was the new recipe you made the one with chocolate chips in it? I have copied that recipe but haven't made it yet. What was it that you didn't like about the new recipe? I appreciate your input!
