thanks sara    that sounds good       and it's perfect to halve

i have one can of apple pie filling            but since it's just me        i'm gonna halve the recipe      and my bread is whole grain wheat      and i don't have any maple syrup   but will improvise with something       maybe sprinkle a little more brown sugar on top     a
and i'll bake it in a glass casserole dish       as that's my preference         easier to clean for me   and it has a lid for storing in fridge

Sounds like my kind of recipe, Sara! It also sounds as if it could be served as a dessert (aka bread pudding) or breakfast treat for a family gathering. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks.  This sounds perfect for a weekend breakfast.
I happen to have some peaches that are not that great I just may use them in place of the apple pie filling. It may be a little less sweet but that is alright by me.

Thanks Sara,
I make French toast for hubby to have for several days (I make a whole loaf of bread), he will have some for breakfast, lunch & even as a dessert, so I am sure he will like this.

These are the types of recipes I love because they can be prepared ahead and served for visiting company for breakfast. Thanks

Sara, this sounds like a great recipe.  We belong to two travel clubs so when someone books to stay with us next time, guess what they will get for breakfast!!  Thank you.
