Apple Cinnamon French Toast Casserole
3/4 cup melted oleo or butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 cans [21 oz] apple pie filling
20 slices white bread
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 maple syrup
Grease a 9 x 13 pan [ metal ] do not use glass or a throw away pan
In small bowl stir oleo, cinn,and brown sugar spread into pan the spread pie filling over top.
layer bread slices pressing down. In a medium bowl beat eggs and milk Pour over bread
making sure it's all absorbed.
Cover with foil and refrigerator overnight.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Bake covered 60 to 65 minutes.
When done remover foil and drizzle maple syrup on top, broil for 2 minutes till carmelizied.
Remove from oven and let stand 10 minutes [ that will let it not be soupy ]
Invert onto tray or cookie sheet so the apples are on top and cut in squares.
