Nancy it's so nice to see you posting again! That's a great idea to add carmel to your cookies but I really like idea of the Heath English Toffee bits.My mom loved Heath bars.

I have a recipe which includes dipping half the cookie in melted chocolate and then sprinkling with toffee bits....yummy!!!

I have added the caramel bits to bread pudding and I have also used them in sticky buns.
I picked up some apples the other day I just may try a baked apple with a few of the bits inside. Not quite as decadent as a caramel apple but probably just as good!
I look for the Heath Bits I think they would taste great in a chocolate chip cookie! Or an Oatmeal cookie!

Nikki - the Heath bits come in two varieties........
One is simply bits of the toffee.
The other is bits of a Heath bar; toffee and milk chocolate.
I've used both and very much prefer the plain toffee bits.

Renee - I've dipped a lot of cookies in melted chocolate but it never entered my mind to add some toffee!
Thanks for a great new idea.

hee hee .... I'm not a young woman. I wonder why I'm now enjoying the new tastes so much. I spent a life time being stuck.

I just took a look at http://www.mybakingaddiction.com and I can tell you right now my diet is in trouble! I just printed 2 recipes and I am drooling over a few more. (check out the recipe for Peanut Butter Buckeye Bars!)

I love the Heath bits in my cookies. I like to try different things in my cookies.
My grandchildren say they are grandmas suprise cookies.

Hey Nikki --- try their recipe for "Turtle Cookies".
They aren't "good" .......... they are fantastic - the very best cookie I ever tasted.

That site uses the exact same basic recipe for so many different kinds of cookies - my favorite technique.
