I have never been to Mardi Gras. I don't think I would like it much, I am not fond of huge crowds and I think at this point it would confuse my husband so much that it would be a nightmare.May celebrate here with some Gumbo and the fixins' I think my grandson would have a good time. There is a restaurant in Chicago that I love and I just may go there for lunch.()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()()Who is going to catch the beads?.....Ok, enough Mardi Gras colors, the Gold does not show well anyway. The restaurant in Chicago is a office building restaurant but the owner loves the Creole and Cajun food so much that he worked for a while with Paul Prudhome (worked in the kitchen free just to get the experience.) Came back and offered a few items and by word of mouth it just took off. Heaven on 7 has expanded and the food is wonderful. I still like the original place the best. Just might have to plan a lunch trip.Making a Kings Cake sounds like a plan.
