Hi gang,
I'm hoping by posting here my search will be over and I can get in the kitchen! Laughing

Several years back, Nestle had a VBB site that was  "brown on light brown" as its homepage; its obviously updated their website and is very nice but I have to confess I miss the old one.  Nevertheless, on the "older site" there was a recipe and try as I may I can't find it here. Cry

The recipe was for a "Lemon Cake."  No kidding y'all, it was the most AWESOME cake I had ever made and never failed to get rave reviews!  The one thing that stands out in my memory and frankly, I've never seen used in any other was "frozen lemonade!"  Yep, you read right and its AMAZING!

While typing this to y'all trying to find my recipe, it just dawned on me, it might have been originally labeled as "Orange Cake" with a notation at the bottom that stated "lemon can be substituted for the orange."  I can't swear to it but something about that seems familiar.

I know I'm older and my memory sure ain't what it use to be but I do know I'm not crazy! Tongue outNot to mention the voices I heard really were people raving about the cake and I never once took home a crumb from the platter! Kiss

If you know the recipe I'm speaking of I'd be forever grateful if you could somehow post it here or provide the link on the VBB website where I can locate AND PRINT IT OUT!!!  My other computer bit the dust and I was unable to import anything much less print out my favorite recipes.

Again, thank you so very much for your help.  By the way, should you have it and not made it, do yourself a favor and make it, you won't be disappointed--that's a promise!

Sincerely,
RED
Richmond VA

Linda, try typing in "frozen lemonade" into the search box.  If that doesn't bring it up, you could always try the live chat available during the week.  The ladies who answer are very helpful with all sorts of things.   Good luck.

HM,
Thank you so much as well hun.  Both you and Diane have given me a different way to search here on VBB for my cake recipe.  The heads up on the "chat help" is KILLER!  I had no idea they offered that or should i just say, I had my glasses off for a time while looking at the site!  Gotta blame it on something other than my old eyes, right? Wink

Thanks again hun.

Have a great day!

Good luck with the 6'4" neighbor. Perhaps the lemon will make him "pucker up" to you. Keep us informed!

Linda, you have me looking for a lemon cake as well.
Good luck with the cake and the neighbor.
As for the lemon bars...you know you always have to do a trial run when ever you try a new recipe.  Just make sure that you ask the "Tall Drink of Lemonade" what he thinks about the lemon bars as well.Embarassed
