Thanks for the reminder to use jello and pudding.  I always forget I have those in the cupboard.  It has been a while since I've made
watergate, but it is good and Easter sounds like a good time to make it.
I also thought Creamsicle when I saw the recipe Vicki posted.  Might just have to try it as I have all the ingredients

Both the orange Dream Layered Bars  and the Watergate sound good.  I have not made Jello in a while.  Just might have to make some later this week.  My Husband loves the lime or orange made with the little mandarin orange slices from the can.  I just do the hot water then add a can of the orange slices in place of the cold water.  I also do the same if I add a can of fruit cocktail.
Thanks for the reminder.....

Vicki - Thank you for the recipe, it brought back pleasant memories.  When I was growing up, our church would usually have this as a dessert for our Mother-Daughter dinners.  The men in charge of the dinner felt this was a pretty easy, no fail dessert to make.

Gale your watergate salad made me remember what my kids loved when they were little! I had completly forgotten. It kind of is like yours.

 A container of cottage cheese
 a Jello packet
 mixed fruit cocktail
 Cool Whip
 some maraschino cherries
 the small fruit flavored marshmallows

Mix up all ingredients. Adjust ingredients for how much you want to make. I think that the lime jello tastes best in here. Makes a good breakfast!

When I was much stricter with my diet I would take a container of cottage cheese and blend it so it became very smooth.  I would then fold a packet of raspberry jell-o into it and divide it into 3 or 4 containers and let it set.  I would take one of these to work for my lunch.  Very filling because of the cheese but almost like a dessert because of the jell-o I always felt like I was cheating on my diet.
