I have never made them, don't have the press or form for them.
I did a quick search and there is one recipe at http://www.kingarthurflour.com for chocolate pizzelles.  So I did another search and All Recipes has several but they are the anise flavored ones.
Looking at the recipes though they all call for butter.
As in most recipes that use butter or oil you can substitute a fruit or in this case a vegetable puree for the butter.  Just use the pumpkin in the same ratio called for in the recipe.  So if the recipe calls for 1 Cup of butter use 1 Cup of pumpkin puree.  the added spices will increase the flavor.  You might want to cook the pumpkin a bit in a sauce pan with the spices to intensify the flavor.
Mybe someone that has a recipe will post it though.

Sorry, I've never heard of any with pumpkin.  My Mom used to make some with orange and lemon flavor as well as the traditional anise flavor.  Nikki's idea of substituting pumpkin for butter is probably a good way to go.  You could always try a very small batch just to see if it works.
