Boy Gale did you bring back memories. We had one when we were children and my Mom would make applesauce pies as a treat. We thought it was great! I may still have the pie maker somewhere. You have me looking. Thanks.

I've never seen these things before.   A couple of years ago my brother-in-law and his wife gave us an electric sandwich maker for Christmas.  Used it exactly once, only so I could answer truthfully if asked lol.  My husband loves his sandwiches but he wasn't too thrilled with the machine made ones.

When my brother and I were little Mom would let us put up a tent,a blanket thrown over the table and under the table was our tent, lol. She would let us toast marshmallows on the stove holding them on a fork.We would have a pretend fire in the middle of the living room.My Dad got us truck tire inner tubes and these were our boats,we would tie a dog toy on the end of a rope and cast it out.Our dogs the "FISH" would get a hold of their toys and we would reel them in like fish.We didn't have computers and electronic games we had imagination! I miss my childhood these Hobo pies allow me to just revisit a very happy time in my life.I have tried very hard to pass these little things on to my two sons and when they have children of their own I can only hope they pass this on to them.
