This afternoon I had to grate and juice 6 limes.  I used the Microplane  grater that the good people on this forum suggested I buy.  Thanks!  It's such a handy gadget. What little

I really like my microplane however if it cam to giving up the microplane or my Kitchenaid..the microplane is gone.
I use my blender for a lot of things, I use my food processor for a lot.  Not sure what one I would give up.  Looking at all the stuff the blender does it does the same as the processor but I use the processor more than the blender.
I have a cheese grater but that can do the same stuff the microplane does.  Keep the microplane and ditch the cheese grater.
I have several turners I use when frying things but I tend to grab on more than the others.  It is funny how just the feel of one is better than the other.

Now I should go through my kitchen drawers and get rid of some of the things I have not used in a while.

Don't have a microplaner, and don't really have a favorite in the kitchen, like them all!

I have had my set of Chicago Cutlery knives since 1981 (wedding gift) and I use them every single day!  Well worth the money!

I got a set of knives for a wedding present in 1962 (don't remember the brand right now) and my favorite is a long bladed wavy  (scalloped) paring knife.  I use it several times a day.  Microplane grater is wonderful also. I gave one to my sister and she loves it.

Oops, sorry about the double post.  I accidently double clicked on  "add post".  I don't know how to delete.  I forgot to mention that I use my food processor so often that I leave it on the counter.  Chopping nuts, cutting butter into flour for pie crust or streusel, chopping apples or other fruit for bread, "grating" zuccnini for bread or potatoes for pancakes.  Very handy.

Wow, Renee --- I've never seen one of those - very impressive.  You have the best tools --- where do you shop?
But, I don't "use" apples.....

Knives ------- so precious.   I have lots of Chicago Cutlery too and they are my favorites.   I did just pack up 6 of my 8 Chicago Cutlery steak knives with serrated blades to give to my neighbor for her school's yard sale.
I don't like the serrated blades.

I have quite a few knives, 1 is a Chicago Cutlery knife the others are either Henkles or Sabatier.  I think I have had them for 25 years.
I have 2 that are serrated I use them only for bread I guess one is supposed to be for ham or turkey but I rarely use it for that.
About a year ago I purchased an electric knife sharpener.  I got it at the Cutlery and More warehouse sale.  If I had not seen it there there is no way I would have purchased it, pretty expensive for something that I do not have to use that often but I can't stand a dull knife. And there are no places near me that sharpen knives (there is a guy that does mower blades but I would not trust him with my knives).
And the other thing that is difficult to find is a good knife block to hold them.  I finally found one at a resale shop.  No slits in the block it is all bristles so knives of any size or shape just slide in.
