To use an over used phrase....
Popeye's OMG!!!!! that is good chicken.  I love the spicy and the biscuits are pretty darned good for not home made. (they are actually better than the ones I made last)
It is maybe a once or twice a year treat for me.  Since I have moved the closest one is about 15 miles or more away.  I hate eating in the car and 30 mile round trip just for chicken is nuts.  I have to be going in that direction to make the trip worth while.

In Response to Re: Fried chicken & waffles? : We lost a KFC also. Did they only close some stores or all? This town didn't need that! We don't have many places to eat or shop as it is! :)

We have both KFC and Popeye's in our town, but I have stayed clear of fried chicken for many, many years. I love it too much! So rather than tempt myself, I just don't go near their stores. I have not tried the chicken and waffles, but I was thinking the same thing as Gale about biscuits and honey with chicken. If offered I might give it a try.
