In Response to Re: Freezing Cookies:
Nellie -- that man deserved all the cookies and candy I could pile on him. He came to my house to repair the dishwasher Badcat tore out of it's place and the freezer in the garage. He arrived, looked at the dishwasher, told me to watch while he jerked the door then pushed it all back into place. Amazed I took him to the freezer where he told me it could not be fixed until empty and thawed. I said I'd give hime a check for coming and he said he could not charge me a dime.... not a dime. He hadn't done anything and he didn't want paid. I laughingly said since he came and was cheap I wanted him to fix my broken Kitchen Aid mixer . I was teasing but that man grabbed the mixer from a garage shelf, carried it into the kitchen, dug in his tool chest and repaired that mixer in 3 minutes. Then I pointed to my vac and said if he was so smart he could fix that. He did!!! Then he said he wasn't supposed to repair small things -- just big appliances-- so there was no charge.. I piled him with buckets (the little toy buckets I'm working on for church kids) of candy for the 4 kids he said he has ...... then bags and bags of cookies. I said I was beyond belief by what he had done. He roared laughing and said that I'd believe it when he came back to repair the freezer - his company charged $93 to start repairs.
