In Response to First Time Bread Baking:
Okay, I just successfully made my first two loaves of traditional white bread and they came out great! I have never been able to get yeast to do what it does best, and tonight I think I got it (at least this time I did!). Anyways, does anyone know the best way to store homemade bread? I do not own a bread box.

Before storing make sure it is completely cool, not having preservatives it will mold much faster than store bought bread.I rarely have any left over home made bread, they eat it all .Once it has cooled place the bread in a plastic storage bag,get as much air out of the bag as possible,it will keep fine for a few days any longer wrap it in foil and place it in a freezer bag and store in the freezer. Homemade bread will last 3 months in the freezer.I do the same with store bought bread.I then take out the slices that I need and it is as fresh as the day I put it in there.
