I've looked at past posts here trying to see if there's been a discussion about what's our very favorite cookie ... I couldn't find any so decided to ask. What's your favorite cookie recipe?

This is a favorite of my husbands and son's : TURTLE BARS : PREHEAT OVEN 325*  For the crust 2 cups flour, 1 stick of butter, 1 cup packed light brown sugar with  a pastry blender cut butter into flour until crumbly then mix in brown sugar until it stays together, press into an ungreased 9x13'' pan. To make the caramel layer in a sauce pan melt 2/3 cup of butter and  1/2 cup of packed light brown sugar, over a medium heat cook to boiling and boil for one minute stir constantly so it doesn't burn.pour over the pecans and bake for 15-22 mins watch so it doesn't burn, take it out of the oven when it's bubbly around the edges and immediately spinkle 1 cup of milk chocolate chips evenly over the top of the caramel layer as soon as the chocolate chips melt spread evenly over the entire top.Let cool and cut into bars.

Well, Well, Well.......Nancy!

I cannot find the recipe for the Maraschino Cherry cookies,  but when I do, I will post it for sure!  Now, I did come accross this when I was looking for the cookie recipe and thought it sounded real good, so here it is:

MARASCHINO CHERRY ALMOND BREAD

I JAR (10 OZ.) MARASCHINO CHERRIES
1/2 CUP BUTTER, SOFTENED
3/4 CUP SUGAR
2 EGGS
1 TSP. VANILLA
2 CUPS ALL-PURPOSE FLOUR
1 TSP. BAKING POWDER
1/2 TSP. SALT
1/2 CUP SLIVERED ALMONDS
ALMOND BUTTER
1/2 CUP BUTTER SOFTENED
1 TB. SLIVERED ALMONDS FINELY CHOPPED
1/2 TSP. ALMOND EXTRACT

1.  DRAIN CHERRIES, RESERVING JUICE; ADD ENOUGH WATER TO JUICE TO MEASURE 1/2 CUP.  CUT CHERRIES INTO QUARTERS; BLOT DRY AND SET ASIDE.
2.  IN A LARGE BOWL, CREAM THE BUTTER AND SUGAR UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFLY.  ADD EGGS, ONE AT A TIME, BEATING WELL AFTER EACH ADDITION.  BEAT IN VANILLA.  COMBINE THE FLOUR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT; GRADUALLY ADD TO THE CREAMED MIXTURE ALTERNATELY WITH RESERVED JUICE.  FOLD IN THE CHERRIES AND ALMONDS.
3.  POUR INTO GREASED 9 X 5 LOAF PAN.  BAKE AT 350* FOR 50-60 MINUTES OR UNTIL A TOOTHPICK INSERTED NEAR THE CENTER COMES OUT CLEAN.  COOL FOR 10 MINUTES BEFORE REMOVING FROM THE PAN TO A WIRE RACK TO COOL COMPLETELY.
4.  IN A SMALL BOWL, COMBINE ALMOND BUTTER INGREDIENTS.  SERVE WITH BREAD.  YIELD:1 LOAF (12 SLICES, 1/2 CUP ALMOND BUTTER).

I never made this, but I will...sounds yummy!!

OK Susan ..... I'm patient. Undecided
Thanks for the "bread" recipe.
Have you tried the Ice Cream Sundae Cookie recipe that's on this site?
It has marachino cherries plus chocolate AND white chips.
