Ok Nancy I'm gonna toss this back at you!  Do you mean home made cookie or store bought cookie?
I have several..
For national brand packaged cookies I love Nutter Butter,,not the one that is shaped like a peanut but the harder to find one that is like a wafer cookie with pillows of peanut butter.  Almost like the child of a marriage between a ravioli and cookie.

For a store made, bakery in the store type cookie, Dominick's a Safeway Store has what they call a Triple Chocolate Chewie.  It is intensely chocolate and very chewy almost make your jaw sore when you chew it chewy.

For homemade...Don't make me pick just one.  Right now it would have to be the Sticky Ginger Squares or possibly the Magic Cookie Bars. Or Chocolate chip or White Chocolate Macadamia nut or ...oh I had one the other day that was great, I am waiting for my friend to send the recipe it is made with Grape Nuts Cereal and has almonds and dried cranberries...oh so many cookies....can't pick just one..

When I get the recipe for the cookies I will share!!

My first choice would have to be a Chinese Almond cookie, second Pecan Puffs, followed by Linzer cookies.I could keep on going! Oh yes the cookies from the Middle Eastern bakery with sesame seed, pistachios, figs and dates.Lets not forget the Italian's.

If I MUST pick just one, it would have to be the traditional Toll House with nuts, but only if it's fresh out of the oven.

It is hard to choose.  I like any with oatmeal, but original toll house with nuts is really up there in the top 5.  There's oatmeal with spices and raisins and nuts, oatmeal with chocolate chips and nuts, chocolate oatmeal with nuts.  Can you tell I like nuts in my cookies?  Homemade (not from a mix) brownies with lots of nuts is a good one also.  I like the looks of the big  chocolate cookie on the main page of  VBB.  I'll have to make that one soon.

Has anyone tried the peanut butter cookie with no flour?  It is a cup each of sugar and peanut butter and one egg.  looks interesting.

Perfect example why Weight Watchers, Nutri System, Jenny Craig and all the "magic berries" together are a multi billion dollar business.
I plead guilty to indulging a bit more often than I should but only to find the best, most favorite cookie, cake, pie,.......I will continue the quest until the day I die.  That is a goal that I can fulfill!

The funny thing about this move is I have "unearthed" the huge cookbook collection that has been in the attic and I am discovering some books that I will have to go through with a bit more car.  Also found quite a few that will be sold at a garage sale.
I will pass on some of the "newly rediscovered" recipes as I come across ones that I remember as being worthy.  Maybe together we can find new favorites.

Well, that's really hard to choose.  There are several, toll house cookies, M&M cookies, the cookies with the chocolate kiss on top, many italian cookies.  There are soooo many.

Snickerdoodles. The taste is not sweet and a crowd pleaser. I have a friend who doesn't cook or bake, her husband does it all, but she liked the cookies so much that she overdosed with the making of the Snickerdoodles and now refers affectionately to me as "Snickerdoodle."

They're all great.  For Nestles it has to be Toll House.  Snickerdoodles have to be made from the recipe in my Mother's Betty Crocker cookbook and Cookie Book.  Nothing else is as good.  Even the expensive "Snickerdoodles" sold by the places that specialize in cookies are nothing but sugar cookies which have been rolled in cinnamon sugar before baking.  Then there are peanut butter cookies.  I think that recipe comes from Betty Crocker (I haven't baked in ever so long).  And, be sure to use chunky peanut butter.

OK Nancy, here is mineLaughing    CHINESE ALMOND COOKIE :  2 3/4 cup of flour, 1 cup sugar, 1/2 t. baking soda, 1/2 t. salt, 1 Cup of lard, you can substitute butter or shortening or a combination of the two, to equal one cup, 1 egg, 1 teas. almond extract, 48 blanced almonds.PREHEAT oven 325* Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking soda and cut in lard with a pastry blender until it resembles coarse corn meal. Add well beaten egg and almond extract, mix well .Roll into one inch balls and place 2" apart on an ungreased cookie sheet ,press one blanched almond into the top of each one of the cookies.Bake 15-18 mins.Cool the cookies on a cooling rack. The cookies using the lard are authentic Chinese almond cookies.
