My daughter in law makes scallops wrapped in 1/2 bacon slice and then fried or grilled on a grill pan.  Spectacular!

Hi Gale...

Wonderful recipe and I LOVE MUSHROOMS, but my husband doesn't.  Can I make these and then freeze what I don't eat?  I was wondering is the mushrooms would get rubbery!

My mom called it appetizer and my friend calls it a polish rose. I use Armour dried beef, cream cheese and green onion. Wash green onions and cut end off. Take piece of dried beef spread room temp cream cheese on it, put green onion of it and roll up. CA does not know what dried beef is, so when I go to MI every year I make sure that I get dried beef and put it in a cooler in my suitcase. Every year the TSA put a slip in my suitcase saying that they have opened my suitcase. I also take Michigan wine back with me.

Remember the long ago appetizer of a very thin slice of ham spread with cream cheese, rolled around a big dill pickle and cut into slices?

I love to eat appetizers - but I don't make them often.  My favorite is scallops wrapped in bacon & cooked in the oven.  No, I don't have the recipe.  I think that is basically it.  But my brother makes them for family get togethers.

So many years ago ..... there used to be parties that started at dinnertime and the only food was hors d' oeuvres (the proper word - lol lol)  Everyone brought one and worked hard to have the best.
