Easy Cheese Danish

 Easy Cheese Danish

Ingredients:
... -2 cans butter crescent rolls
-2 (8oz) packages cream cheese (softened)
-1 cup sugar
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-1/4 cup butter (melted)
-Cinnamon & sugar ( 1/4 cup sugar and 1 tbs cinnamon)

Instructions:
Unroll and spread 1 can crescent rolls on bottom of un-greased pan. Combine softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Spread mixture over crescent rolls. Unroll and spread remaining crescent rolls over mixture. Spread melted butter over the top and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30

I haven't made them myself but have tasted these I thought they were pretty good.

A friend made these and sent them along with other goodies to our family when they were here at the beach.  The kids loved them.  I didn't get an opportunity to taste them but the grands also thought they were yummy.

I wonder how these would be if you put some almond paste in along with the cream cheese or raspberry jam (seedless of course) or even some apple filling or apple butter if you did not want the chunkier filling.  I bet pumpkin butter would be a winner as well. 
Just might have to try this, having company over this weekend and was looking for a dessert I could make in advance.

These lok incredibly easy &  delicious too,I especially  like MIIKI P's suggestions for added ingredients; Of course, I'llake them w/ lower fat chese&  crescent rolls& a Splenda blend , saving as much fat & sugars as possible ,but I've got to givei it  a try if/when company is expected OR for our next
celebratory brunch
