In Response to Easy Beer Bread:
This is a nice rustic bread that can be enjoyed on it's own or with chili or soup.I packaged this in one quart canning jars with instructions attached for some of my Christmas gifts in a jar. 3 cups of all pupose flour, not packed in, spoon into the cup and then level off,3 teas. baking powder,1 teas.salt, 4 Tabl. sugar, 1 12oz. beer of your choice ,2-4 Tabl.melted butter.Sift together all dry ingredients, stir in beer, pour into a greased loaf pan, pour the melted butter on top and bake in a pre-heated 375* for one hour, remove from pan and allow 20 min. to cool before serving. The instructions I included with the gift were:Sift all ingredients and stir in 1 12oz.beer,pour into a greased loaf pan, pour 2-4 Tabl.melted butter over loaf and bake in a pre-heated 375* oven for one hour, remove from pan and allow 20 min.to cool before serving.Enjoy! I sent this earlier, but it did not show up.Thank you so much for the recipe. I received a kit for beer bread for Christmas. It has everything inclulding the baking utensil. All I have to provide is the beer. I will have to make that and also try your delicious recipe.
My younger son puts beer in his chili. In fact when he was here for Christmas he made chili in the crockpot and froze it for several dinners for my husband and I. It was delicious!!!
Hope this one makes it and doesn't disappear into space somewhere.
