I don't think I could bring myself to eat or serve cookies like that if I spent that much time decorating them.

Lesley - I can't imagine having even half of the talent that you exhibit in your cookies.  I probably wouldn't have the patience, either.  Thank you for sharing with all of us.

This is the reason that bar cookies and drop cookies are my favorites.  Just no patience to decorate a cookie that will be devoured  just as quickly as a plain cookie.

Nikki, I'm sorry that you think these are a waste of time.  I can tell you that it's very relaxing for me, and the look on people's faces when they open a box of my cookies is priceless.  My wonder woman cookies apparently gained a whole lot of street cred for a 6 year old at science camp, too.

I am so sorry if you thought that I think these are a waste of time.  I most certainly did not want anyone to get that idea.
I just have no patience for detailed work like that.  I guess if my Mom or Grandma did stuff like that I might feel differently.
I even took a cake decorating class once with my stepdaughter when she wanted to learn and we had a great time and I did do some cakes that were pretty nice and I even helped my stepdaughter make her mom's cake when her mom got remarried.  But for everyday stuff I just love to look at decorated cookies and cakes and I greatly admire them but I leave the decorating for others to do.

Leslie, I love Wonder Woman, you did a Wonderful job!  Would it be possible for you to share your recipe?  I've made cookies using the cutters and they either fall flat OR, this last batch were so hard they were hard to bit into?!

Thanks

Shawna, I use the recipe on this site.  I generally use almond extract in it, but I've used vanilla and a variety of flavors.  There is also a red velvet recipe on that site that is worth checking out.
