In Response to CROCK POT, MEALS,SIDES OR BAKING??? : Hi, I have to tell you of our favorite crock pot meal. Pulled Pork. You'll swear it was smoked in a smoker for hours, but without all of the tending to. I like to roll up a few balls of heavy alum foil and line the bottom as a rack for the pork roast to rest upon. Rinse the roast, and rub a little salt and pepper along with a few tablespoons of liquid smoke all over the outside. Place the roast on top of the foil balls and put the lid on, set it to low & forget about it. I put it in about 12 hrs. seems like a long time for a regular work day, but it comes out so super tender and just falls apart for pulled pork sandwiches. I get up at 6am to get ready for work, so thats when i put the roast on, by the time we get home at about 6pm, its perfect.

Thank you for the idea.I made a pork roast with baby red potatoes and baby carrots all with gravy and that was great.Hubby doesn't like pulled pork but my son and I do.I'll do it the way you suggested with the aluminum foil balls and I'll do half pulled pork and the other half as a roast.for my hubby. Thanks again Michelle.
