I bought a new slow-cooker a while ago since I was planning on replacing the old one my husband bought before we got married(makes it ancient lol). However, I kept the old one to make jellies and applesauce and haven't even opened the new one yet. One of these days I may get around to it. Almost any recipe you can make on the stove can be adapted to a slow-cooker I've heard but I've only made mashed potatoes once in the crockpot. Guess that's not much help, sorry.
