Hi Renee...nice to see you!

Nancy, did you use crisco for these or did you use butter?
I am not a fan of shortening so I would rather use butter but I guess I could use shortening if necessary. Or possibly a combination of butter and shortening.

Nikki -- I don't know how Sue handled this.  When I bake I always (well, almost always) follow directions exactly but on this one I couldn't.  I hate butter flavored Crisco so that's not considered.  So I used half butter and half regular Crisco.  That made such a great cookie ...........
This recipe sent me snooping through the Crisco website for more cookie recipes and I found many, many I can't wait to try.

I have a super recipe for gingersnaps and it calls for part shortening and part butter -- I follow that exactly.
