I bake everything from scratch and always use Nestle products such as evaportated milk and Nestle Chocolate.

Today I decided I would try one of your Chocolate Cream Kits.  Oh my goodness it was so good.

The chocolate pudding was so creamy and the topping was very tasty.

It was easy to make and quick to put together.

You ladies must try it.

Now I want to try the others like the Key Lime Pie.

Welcome Shirley,
I tried the Chocolate one and it was very good.  It was a pie that I made because I had guests at the last minute and did not get a chance to make anything else.
I posted a recipe for a key lime pie that is what I called "Stupid Easy" I am sure you will find it just as good and I figure it is pretty easy to change by using different fruits.
Here is the basic recipe
Frozen Key Lime Pie
1 Graham cracker crust..home made or purchased
1 8 ounce tub of frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 Can (14 ounces) Sweetened condensed milk..not evaporated
1/2 Cup lime juice (I used the bottled Key Lime juice)
lime zest
Mix thawed whipped topping, condensed milk and lime juice together in a bowl.
Pour into crust.
If using grate zest over the top.
Place in freezer.

After I froze this for a while it went into the refrigerator for a bit before serving.  I did not put it back in the freezer and it was fine for the next 2 days in the refrigerator...that's how long it took us to finish it.

After making this I think it would taste great using part of a package of thawed raspberries. I would strain them to remove seeds and use the rest to serve with the pie.

This would also be wonderful with lemon juice.  I think it would need quite a bit of the zest to increase the lemon flavor.

Hi and welcome  Shirley!  I'm fairly new  here too.  Was actually a member from many years back, but had to leave for a few years  to care for my ill parents.

Thanks for the tip on the Chocolate Cream Pie Kit.  As a busy school teacher, I still try to cook and bake from scratch, but there are those times that it is impossible to do some days.  It is nice to know that you enjoyed the kit.  I will look for it the next time I am in the store to have on hand for one of those busy days.

I usually stay away from the frozen whipped topping products but this recipe sounded good as well as easy.  I was having guests for dinner and did not have tome to make something from "scratch" so I got the topping and the pie was pretty darned good. I will make it again.  I figure once in a while...after all something is gonna kill me eventually!Wink
