This is Red Lobster's Cheese Biscuit recipe done in a loaf pan. 3 cups flour 1 Tablespoon baking powder 1 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 4 ounces cheddar cheese, cut into 1/4 inch cubes 1 1/4 cups milk 3/4 cup sour cream 3 Tablespoons of butter, melted 1 egg, lightly beaten Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9×5 loaf pan with oil. In a bowl, whisk together the first 5 ingredients. Carefully stir in cheese cubes until covered in flour mixture, this will help prevent your cheese sinking to the bottom of your loaf of bread. In a different bowl, whisk together the remaining ingredients. Fold the wet mixture into the flour and cheese mixture, stir until just combined, do not over stir. Spread the mixture into the loaf pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes and then remove from pan. Allow to cool for one hour before slicing and serving.

he actually arrived at 8:30   and it was a leak in the evaporator coil  fixed it and refilled the Freon and it's starting to cool down again
but I still won't be using the oven
it's hard to overcome the extra heat    when the humidity is so high
Houston is the most air-conditioned city in the world because it's a necessity of life here
also texas has very lax control over all the emissions from all the plants in and around us and it is not healthy to open the windows

Thanks....(read that dripping with sarcasm!!)
I happen to have a soft spot for the Cheddar Bay Biscuits and this is all I need a loaf of the stuff!!!!
I just happened to find a box of Red Lobster Cheddar Bay Biscuit Mix at Sam's Club for under $6.00 so I got it.  I never have Bisquick in the house so I figured since the cheddar bay biscuits would be all it would be used for just buy the mix.  So now I will have to try the loaf.
If I tried all the recipes you have posted in the past few weeks I would look like a loaf and just loaf on the couch.

Thanks for sharing the recipe Nellie.  Way too hot here to light the oven right now, even if I had time.
