I use many, many butterscotch morsels in cookies and lots in candy. They are so good in oatmeal cookies and just replace chocolate chips in lots of things. I recently made the butterscotch/peanut butter coating for pretzles ... a great treat.
Do you use butterscotch morsels? Please tell us when and how.

don;t use them my family hates butterscotch I get my butterscotch when we go out ot eat as I am the only one who likes them

I use them in my rice krispie sqsuares. Remember those are the ones that melt peanutbutter with butterscotch morsels, stir in the krispies and put a chocolate chip filling between the layers. Yum

My best friend can't eat chocolate so I use butterscotch chips alot.
Her heart beats too fast if she eats chocolate.

Judy -- I make my Rice Krispie squares with plain marshmallows............ I've never even heard of, much less made any with peanut butter and butterscotch!! ( I now know that peanut butter and butterscotch are great on pretzles)

Want to add ......... at church this morning a couple adults asked what treat I was bringing to the kids tonight. LOL LOL Then one dear woman said that there was always discussion about that. Seems that the adults are more excited about the new treats than the children

We use butterscotch morsels in Special K Bars. We melt chocolate chips and butterscotch morsels together for the frosting.

I love butterscotch chips. In fact, I'm sitting here right now eating a tablespoon full of chips while watching the Lakers play Denver in the NBA playoffs. We love the Rice Krispie/Special K Bars, with butterscotch and chocolate chip frosting. (Nancy, I'll try to remember to post the recipe!) We also like macadamia nut cookies with butterscotch chips. And I use them in the 7 Layer Bars (aka Magic Cookie Bars). I go through a lot of them at Christmas time, but I can't think of anything else that I use them in right now. Maybe after the game. lol

I just tested a recipe using the butterscotch chips. It was for Cook's Country Magazine. The cookies were very thin and crisp. A really good cookie, but I can't post the recipe until it is published in the magazine.

Funny, I don't remember ever using butterscotch morsels in anything. Maybe because I always seem to have a lot of chocolate morsels in the house lol. May have to try that for a change of taste. Thanks Nancy.
