I think that all trifle recipes are meant to be made for dinner parties and served in a glass serving bowl. But, I'm sure that you can cut the recipe down in size to serve fewer people. And, instead of blueberries, I'm sure that you can use a different type of berries. I don't care for whipped cream, would you be able to use a frozen whipped topping?

It looks like all you would have to do is use the thawed topping just like you would use the whipped cream. Just like the whipped cream be gentle when folding the pudding mixture into the topping.
