I need help, my oven is not working and i have to make a pumpkin pie for family dinner request. I have a toaster oven that is large enough to put the pie pan in to bake. The toaster oven is a convection oven and seems to cook much faster then my range which also has convection cooking. I am not sure what temperature to set my toaster oven on and how long to cook the Pumpkin Pie. Can anyone one help me with this problem?

Not sure how to help.  Have you googled baking a pie in a convection oven?  I probably would set the oven @ 350 degrees and bake for 35 minutes before I checked it.

I don't have a toaster oven, but in a regular oven I bake the pumpkin pie on 425, and then reduce to 325. So since your toaster oven cooks faster, I think I would cook the pie at 325 the whole time. Just keep checking it after the first half hour. Good luck, Patricia.

I would follow Verlee's advice and also keep an eye on it.  Prepare to place a ring of foil around the edge of the crust to keep it from getting burnt.

Wow, that's a problem!  Good thing you have an alternative.  I don't have a toaster oven so I wouldn't even know where to begin except maybe an internet search.  Good luck Patricia.

How did your pie turn out or did you decide to make something else instead?

Can you contact the maker of the Toaster Oven and ask their advice?  They could probably help you.

Let us know what transpires with the pie.  Hope all turns out well.

I've make cookies in my toaster oven, but never a pie.  I've noticed that since the toaster oven is smaller, the cookies tend to get brown faster.  So, I would lower the temperature a bit and cover the edges of the pie if you decide to try it.  I also have to rotate my pan a few times during cooking for it to bake evenly.

I don't have a toaster Oven but my Aunt does and she really likes it but it takes longer to bake in it she said.
She lives in a small apartment and it doesn't take up so much room.
