NO BAKE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER COOKIES

You will need an ungreased 9x13 pan

1 cup butter melted = 2 sticks
2 cups graham crackers crumbs
2 cups confectioners sugar
1 cup peanut butter (your choice chunky or smooth)
Mix the above ingredients until well mixed and press evenly into the 9x13 ungreased pan.

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (your choice semi-sweet or dark)
1/4 cup peanut butter

Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl in the microwave stirring
often, just until melted then stir in the remaining peanut butter.
Spread evenly over the peanut butter mixture and refrigerate until it is set,cut into bars and enjoy !
I don't know if this is a cookie or a candy but it sure is good

Thank you again ... this sounds so very good and I've been asked to supply treats for a family that is hosting college kids as they drive across the nation.  Stoping at their house saves nights in $$ motels.
So I'm going to be doing a LOT of baking - and it's HOT here.

I'll add a recipe after I search mine.

Well Gale -- I've already made a batch of these treats.  I just now put them in the fridge to cool and get solid.  I wanted individual pieces instead of 9x13 batch to cut and serve.  I used two 24 serving mini-cupcake pans.  The recipe for the treats and the icing fit perfectly so I'll have 48 pieces ........ well, 47 --- I'm tasting one as soon as they're set.

Nancy,
I like the way you think Smile, my cutting anything without a ruler is the pits, start out 1/4 & end up 21/2 (not really, but close). using the mini pans they will look so nice.

PS Gale, I am naming them "No Bake Peanut Butter Treats by Gale" in my VBB file.

Thanks to both of you for posting

Well --- LOL LOL LOL --Late yesterday evening I tried to remove the little treats from the mini-cupcake pans ..... 47 of them!!  They were stuck ... stuck tight.  I had to slowly and carefully remove them and the chocolate topping always popped off.
So, now I know my idea wasn't so good at all.  I wanted and needed individual little treats but I think I should have buttered each of the cups - maybe spray stuff??
More important is that this is a super recipe ..... so cool, so fast and so very, very good.  These are delicious.  I will make them again .. I'll make them in a 9 x13 pan but I sure will be happy to make them again.
Thanks Gale .... thank you very much.
Now give us another!!!

nancy g.

i found inexpensive liners for all my cupcake/muffin pans----regular, mini and jumbo------at party city if you have one of those near------------or try on line------------they have them at wal-mart in the bridal section---but they are in small pkgs-and much more costly

i don't think spray would work

Hi Nellie -- I have dozens of packages of cup cake pan liners .... in regular size and the mini-size I used.  They're sold at Walmart and I worry about running out or not having the right color so I buy some almost every time I'm there.
I didn't use them this time for these candy/cupcake pieces because I'm working on things (like cookies) that are easy and fast to eat and leave no papers.

Nancy I'm so sorry leading you down the wrong path.I was hoping you would see my post earlier.I was thinking of doing them in the small muffin pans also, like peanut butter cups.I made the 9x13 and it is almost gone.I had a couple small pieces and so did hubby. Our son ate all the rest.We went out for breakfast this morning and we were talking about the peanut butter cookies. My son told me not to make them too often because he will eat them all and he really doesn't want to.He said I really don't want to, but I have to ! .lol lol lol That kid loves his sweets but luckily they fall all off and he doesn't gain weight.I found some others that look good I will make them and let you know if they are worth repeating.I'm testing out some others for our family reunion in July.

9x13, muffin cups, spoonfuls dropped on the kitchen counter  ;-)  ....Anyway these are prepared they are soooooo good and will be gobbled.  I'm taking them tonight (with that batch of Nestles mini lemon drop candies) to the dear friend at church.  I can't wait to hear her reaction.

At a dinner at church last night some talented woman had spread lots of big sugar cookies with a cream cheese icing.  Then she had covered it with cut strawberries, green grapes, cantelope - all sort of fruit.  They were beautiful and delicious.

Another had apparently spread lots of melted chocolate in a thin, flat  layer on something - foil? waxed paper?   Then a bunch of small peanut putter cups were placed upside down on a tray.  The chocolate was cut into careful little squares to place over each peanut butter cut. Then red icing made a  bit of cord on top ...... a graduation mortal board!!

Hi H.M.I try to have something sweet around everyday so the guys don't buy donuts and other things that aren't  good for them.Believe it or not when I bake I don't have the cravings for sweets,I'm happy with just a little bit..Now with the warmer weather we will be eating a lot of fresh fruit and no bake desserts.
