Hello VBB -- have you found out anything about the Ice Cream Sundae cookie?
I have the copies I need but I'm still wondering about that.
Thanks.

Nancy:

We haven't had success in repeating the issue on our end.  Does it continue to be a problem on other recipes for you?

While ago, when I was ready to leave here, I went to the Ice Cream Sundae cookies and once again tried to print -- just to see how it was working.  Another dramatic freeze-up.
Such a GREAT cookie and so hard to deal with.

In Response to Re: VBB - is it just me?? : Cam: When you say the site is slow, do you mean your responses on the message board are slower than before or that the content portion of the site loads slowly?  Can you describe your signing in symptoms more?  Apologies for all the questions, we just want to help you get to the bottom of this!

I mean it takes forever it seems for pages to load. I can click on a page and go make a cup of coffee while it is loading. I have found that it is actually faster to reclick on the "forums" link below the Community tab and go back into which ever topic I was in rather than try to click the back arrow and then click on the star for the next unread post. It loads faster usually that way. I have a high speed internet connection and other sites load fast. I have frequently gotten frustrated and just left the site for the day.

Signing in still has to be done frequently also. I sometimes have to sign in and sometimes I don't. And, I do not erase the cookies when cleaning disc or allow the ones on sites that I use frequently to be erased when I run security scans. I have also been zapped back to my "start" page when trying to pull up different topics and discussions. It is frustrating.

I have also noticed that when I and probably others, click on a discussion, it doesn't always take us to the last page even if that is the one with new posts. And a suggestion for the pages would be to put the "click on" page numbers at the bottom of the page too. I read posts to the end of the page then have to scroll all the way back to the top to make sure there isn't another page or to go to the next page. Would be so much easier.

VBB--  I can (and do) print any recipe from any section of this site with no trouble.  Except the Ice Crean Sundae cookies ... I cannot print those without being thrown off the Internet.

(I find it easy to BAKE that recipe) Laughing

I just tried to print that recipe and my IE8 froze as well, I did view the problem code within the IE8 Problem Signature. This is what was given.

This is just a thought.....

Problem signature:

Problem Event Name: APPCRASH

Application Name: iexplore.exe

Application Version: 8.0.7600.16385

Application Timestamp: 4a5bc69e

Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll.............................................................This may be causing it, Not sure tho.

Fault Module Version: 6.1.7600.16385

Fault Module Timestamp: 4a5bdadb

Exception Code: c0000008

Exception Offset: 0007f392

OS Version: 6.1.7600.2.0.0.768.3

Locale ID: 1033

Additional Information 1: 0a9e

Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

Additional Information 3: 0a9e

Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789

Ntdll.dll exports the Windows
Native API. The Native API is the interface used by user-mode components of the operating system that must run without support from Win32 or other API subsystems.[1] Most of this API is implemented in ntdll.dll and at the upper edge of ntoskrnl.exe (and its variants); the majority of exported symbols within these libraries are prefixed Nt, e.g., NtDisplayString. Native APIs are also used to implement many of the "kernel APIs" or "base APIs" exported by Kernel32.dll

I would suspect that VBB has an automated code (scripts) that gernerates the printing script once a new page is placed on the site. However, I cannot view it and cannot say for sure. I would guess that maybe there is part of the code missing. A simple solution would try to "rebuild" that page or from VBB's end or simply replace the code for the user-print option. Just a thought, I could be totaly wrong here.

What I do is when the Print Option box opened to select the printer I wanted to us, I print to the Microsoft XPS Document. It save's it as a picture in the picture folder on my pc. I can view it from there and print from there as well. Good luck on the trouble shooting.

Thank you for your explanation.  As we know you know, VBB needs to continue to work with our message board vendor to improve the message boards.  We want to incorporate your suggestions on message board functionality and are working with our vendor to make them a reality.

Ken -- great scott!  What you wrote was INCREDIBLE.
I don't even know what a Microsoft XPS Document is much less a kernel APIs.

Where do you live?  I'd trade a LOT of cookies for some computer help.
