"TURKEY, that is what the Indians served the Pilgrims & that is what you are getting for Thanksgiving dinner."

The above is what I told hubby many years ago(he told me he did not like turkey).
Even when it is just the 2 of us, I make a whole turkey & then make a lot of turkey broth & turkey veg. soup for the freezer.

I do not like goose/duck,  I make hubby pizza about every 3 weeks & when I make lasagna, I make enough to freeze for several meals.

In Response to Re: TURKEY OR GOOSE OR PIZZA FOR THANKSGIVING DINNER? : Not sure you would like goose, Gale.  But you never know.  I found them to be very greasy.

Hi H.M. I've eaten duck and that is greasy also.I bought the duck years ago when Mom was still here and not sick ,she cooked it.I know she scored the skin and roasted it on a rack,I can say it's not something that I crave lol.If I went somewhere and it was served I would be polite and eat itYellI'm really not overly crazy about turkey but my hubby is so he gets it a couple of times a year.I eat very little when I cook like this but Friday will be a different story.

My cats don't like turkey breast (they will sometimes eat commercial turkey breast lunch meat) so I expect to have a peaceful, quiet, calm meal all my own.  Wow - a peaceful meal.
