Annette, The swapped recipes have been mixed in with the rest of the recipes.  If you put in Community Classics into the search you will find the swapped recipes.
Please do come back and try again.  The other way to possibly find a recipe is to let us know what you are looking for and someone will come up with the recipe for you.

Sorry to hear you had trouble Annette.  Although I agree it's hard to find some of the older swapped recipes, we have a great group of people here who can usually help you find anything.  Just ask and I'm sure someone will come up with an answer for you.

NIKKI P

apparently you were not a member very long when they made all the changes

in fact, i rarely see anyone i knew on the old site so i wonder why they quit

i have put community classics in many times and only get a limited nuumber of results (under 400) and they are not in any kind of order while anyone that was faniliar with the site before can tell you ----there were many thousands of recipes in the "swapped recipes files"

on this version of the site you can't even put in the name of a nestle's recipe and have it come up all by itself-------------it is like a game of hide and seek--------and i really don't like it------------so i only come to the forums when i visit

before they had a section for nestle recipes and you could type the name of any of their recipes ------------they had another section for swapped recipes   and if you knew the name of the recipe you wanted it would come up or if you simply typed -----banana bread'-------all swapped recipes for banana bread would be listed------but not banana pudding--------------you could also enter a bakers last name and all of the recipes under
that last name came up

and i know that you and others have offered to search for my recipes and i appreciate your willingness but the vbb people couldn't find most of them--------------------simply because only a few of those recipes have been moved to the new format

also you can't talk to them because it's like i'm speaking another language and they don't understand what i'm asking

Nellie, I had been a member for quite some time but the old method of posting sort of intimidated me...why I don't know but I took advantage of the changes to begin posting as I figured everyone else would be as "confused" and new at it as I was.
I did love looking at the recipes and I loved searching for them and posting as well.
I will admit it was easier to find recipes the old way.  I loved the way you could put in a product and search for recipes using that particular product.  Yes I wish that feature would be brought back.  But as my Grandmother used to say.."If wishes were horses beggars would ride" I try not to look back on something that I can not change but to go forward and make the best of what I have.

By the way if you want to look at my (or anyone else's) recipe box and see the recipes I have posted or saved click on my name by my picture.  You will be taken to my page then click on recipe box on the left hand side.  You will see all the ones I have submitted and the ones I have saved.

sorry to take a while to get back---------------my nephew severed my phone and dsl line yesterday morning with a weedeater------------ and i had to wait for phone repairman to get back on--------i'm actually amazed that he came this morning----sometimes it takes days

i'm scared to post recipes now because they may do this again-----------and because of hurricane ike 3 yrs ago i lost a lot of my recipes that i had posted and didn't worry about it becausee i could just sign on and make a copy from my file-----------but now they are all gone ----if you look at my recipe box you will find only 3 that i had posted

i know about looking at other bakers recipe boxes---------but most of them have opted for private and you can't see anything

i don't understand why they keep posting recipes in the forum----------when they could easily post them in their recipe box and open up----------------------it is much easier to copy from the recipe box than it in this forum--------also it's larger print
