I live in the U.P. of Michigan and so far I have not found a store who will accept the printed coupons off the internet.  Is there any way I can have manufacture's coupons mailed to me for morsel

Our WalMart went through period when they wouldn't accept computer generated coupons either. Now for some reason they do.  I would ask management why they don't accept them. I would also ask them if they will be in the furture. I'm sure you are not the only one who has tried to use them!

" My "  WalMart happily accepts printed coupons.  Amazingly the two local independent groceries accept them too.  I guess they have to because of WalMart.

Susan - ask this question again in this same forum but make a QUESTION MARK the icon.  I think (for what thats worth) that the VBB people read the messages with that question mark.

They sure can't read all of them!!!

I live in Northern Wisconsin in the town of Hayward.  There is not ONE store in a 90 mile range that will take Internet printed coupons either.  Unfortunately driving to a store that does accept the coupons is not an option.  I understand your frustration Susan P in Michigan!

I think Walmart rotates help quickly and does not train them. I had a two dollar Quaker Oats internet coupon and the male asked me where did I get it? I aked him where do you think? He took it.

Susan:

Please contact us using the form in the "Contact Us" section of the site and describe the Internet coupon issue; you should receive coupons shortly.  Unfortunately we usually cannot fulfill requests made in the forums (we need information that we don't want you to post for everyone to see).

I live in a very small town in southern Ohio. The only store to not accept them is Dollar General. Family Dollar will, though.Walmart, Kroger and all others will.

A number of counterfeit coupons created by the theives and downright nasty people are floating around. That is why many stores don't accept printed coupons usually except their own. They finally do come around but it will take a while for them to realize a software update is all it takes to fix the problem...

Good luck !!

Every so often I get an email (from a friend !!) that contains a real looking coupon usually offering something like a free bag of chips.  Just a close look tells that there is no expiration date, no limit, nothing important.  It's easy to KNOW that's a fake.

I think our Walmart has always accepted Internet coupons. Our Price Chopper didn't use to accept Internet coupons because they weren't sure if they were legit or not. Now they do accept them, at least the cents-off ones. I'm not sure if they accept Internet coupons for products that are totally free.
But John is right.....people print off counterfeit coupons and sometimes it is difficult for the cashier to know if it's real or a fake. It's sad that some people have to be so greedy that they spoil it for the honest people! I used to do a lot of refunding as well as couponing and greedy people have also ruined that!
Good luck to you and I would recommend what others here have said....ask your store managers about it and go from there.

Some stores will not accept internet coupons because of fraud. My local CVS store will not honor the coupons because they claim that the will not get reimbursed for the coupons.

Did you know that most internet coupons have a watermark on them?

I used to print out coupons on the internet, take them to the store and was told they could not take them.  Wasted a whole lot of time and ink on that.  Most of the stores around here will not take internet coupons for anything "free".  Safeway, who owns one of our local stores,  has a policy where they won't accept any coupon that will not scan on their registers.  They also won't take any coupon for more than $2 if it's from the internet.  If your printer is running low on ink sometimes the bar code will not print completely and the coupon is worthless.

I used to get Nestle coupons in the mail but it's been quite a while since I have seen any.

Personally I think the companies are trying to save money on their printing costs by putting the cost on us.  I understand they are worried about their bottom line but so are all of us consumers.  Oh well, no more printing anything for a while since my printer just ran out of ink.  Good luck with the coupons everyone.

H.M., I think you are right there....about the companies trying to save money by having us print out our own coupons. I don't mind printing them off as long as I can actually use them at the store, but I don't like wasting ink doing so. Ink costs way too much money for that! Couple of things that really irk me about printing out the coupons....sometimes there's a malfunction or error message, but it looks like you've printed the coupon out when you actually haven't. When trying again, it says you are only allowed to print it once, so I'm out the coupon! The other thing that bugs me is when the company lets you print out a coupon but the rest of the sheet is filled with colored pictures and "junk" that is a waste of my ink! Not that I'm tight, money-wise, but why can't they just leave the rest of the sheet empty instead of all that colored stuff on it!?
If anyone is interested, I print coupons regularly from smartsource.com and coupons.com
They both have some pretty good ones and you are allowed to print two of the same coupon each time. The coupons at both sites change monthly.

I've never had a problem with internet coupons that had a barcode and all the expiration and reimbursement printed on them.  The only time I had a slight issue, there was something wrong with the system and it printed it all in ascii, so you couldn't 'read' the information - but the bar scan worked, so the store accepted it (this was a store coupon - not sure if they would have done that for a general item.)

I have not found any store in my area that will accept any internet coupons..  Pretty frustrating as there are so many good ones out there.  Doesn't matter if there is a bar code or not.. am told "absolutely not".  So all of you who can use them locally, Great!  .. but frustrating for us who can't.....

I live in Mi & had trouble with Meijer taking the internet coupons. I sent an e-mail to Meijer and wanted to know the reason. I got a reply that said the store should take them & to talk to the store manager. I printed out the e-mail & keep it in my purse. When I got a person that said I could not use a coupon, I showed the e-mail. I have not had a problem for well over a year now.

All the stores in my area do accept inter net coupons, but with a few exceptions nothing over $3.00 and only one if the item is free. There are some counterfeit coupons out there and some stores do get burned and then they don't want to take any of them. This is my rule of thumb, only go to coupon sites that are reputable.I worked as a grocery store cashier and you wouldn't believe some of the stuff people try to pull,it's amazing, what you see.Try talking with the managers in your stores, maybe they may make exceptions.Someone always has to spoil it for everyone else.

I agree, Gale, it's the dishonest people that spoil things for us honest ones. That's sad that some people have to be so greedy.
