I can't stand this new site. BRING BACK THE OLD SITE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't even care if I go here every day anymore.

The new site is not user friendly. This was definitely not the time to change the site - the holidays are upon us and now I cannot find anything!

I have to agree....where did Sensible Solutions or recipes go?????? that is what I looked at mostly.....why "fix" things that are NOT broken.....

I do not like the new site. It is very confusing and what happened to swapped recipes! I agree with others that this site will be one of those that I will not use too much in the future. Like the old site much better.

The thing I'm finding difficult is that I don't know the bakers names, only their handles from the old posts, so I don't know what happened to folks like Rotty Girl, SusieSew, and a dozen others!

Harriet G, you asked where all of us were? We gave up and left! At least most of us did. I come in sometimes to see if my recipe box is working and so far, it isn't all there. This site is a joke. The regulars didn't care about brownie points, we were there for the recipes, advice and friends. This site is geared to the younger generation and is working hard at dumping the older VBBrs.

Not one thing works right and I really don't think it ever will unless they shut it down and start over from scratch. Those of us who pine for the old site are not going to get it according to the administrators. I believe Nestle's contract with Eve must have been nearly up and they went for the lowest bidder to rebuild/maintain the site. We get what we pay for. There was a mention of surveys having been sent out to see what the users wanted. Well, as a user for 5 yrs+, I didn't see a survey, did you? Did any of you? I also wonder how many message boards from Nestle's many sites were merged into this one? There are people on here that mention things from the old boards that I never saw. And those who were regulars on the Very Best Baking boards knows there were only a couple of men who ever posted and they haven't been on in a very long time. So, were are these that are on here coming from? Had to be more than one site that is now here.

The site isn't user friendly any more and I for one, find it too much of a hassle to mess with. Finding new posts is darned near impossible. Click on The water cooler and look at the list of discussions and the times of the latests posts. Memorize it or write it down then click on the newest post. 75%+ of the time, the last post made to that particular discussion will have been hours before the shown time. Back out of it and look at the discussion list and times again. 99% of the time, they will be totally different. It is the same with all the topics. They are not consistent and are not updating properly when we post. We got the standard answers at first about things being fixed in the next few days. They were not. My recipe box is missing multiple recipes that were from the swapped recipes and ones I had put in it from our regulars. I can't replace them and feel I have lost a valuable tool in my cooking.

If I needed info on a recipe, substitutions, ideas or what ever, I came to my computer and and found the answer on the VBB site. It isn't there for anyone to find now. I wish EVE would put out a set of CDs of our swapped recipes and the message boards. I would buy it!! I'll keep checking on my recipes but as for the boards, not really into them any more. I got tired of waiting and being told they would be fixed by such and such a date.

Cam I agree with you on the help with baking and cooking we just all have to make this work together I tink if the regulars on the old VBB members stick it out it will hopfully work I am willing to give it a try seeing this was the only board I went to with all my questions and also quesions my friends would ask me......

I think you should know that one does not have to be signed in to get into your personal info. I wasn't and I clicked on Carol s' name because the discussion list showed a post by her on this discussion yet, it didn't show up (until just now). Clicking on the the name took me straight to her activity and info page. I did have to sign up to post this though. So, be careful what you post on there as it is not protected.

Good luck! I decided to check out some of Plucks other sites they host. This web site is a carbon copy of them almost. I also noticed that most of them have only a very small handful of users and most of the posts are months and years old. They too are hard to navigate.

I tried to find info on fixing seized chocolate last night. No luck at all. As for recipes, you have to click and choose categories, types, times of the year, etc. I find that a pain in the behind and not worth it. Many say their recipes are back in their boxes but, are they sure???? Mine looks like they are all there also but they are not. Only those from the main Nestle's recipes. NONE of the ones from my friends at the old boards are there and none of the swapped ones I had saved are there either.

We keep getting a "we're working on it" message but, no progress is being made on any of this. We asked for updates to recipes that were being left on for weeks on the other site and this is what we get?? It is so hard to get around this site. Our posts disappear, we get logged out and I have even had it crash my internet explorer and Mozilla Firefox. I don't just get logged out. I get EVERYTHING closed down! And yes, I AM YELLING. Tired of having to reenter the site I want and spend 10-15 minutes clicking to get back to where I thought I was.

When will Nestles site get PM again ?

I know several people that would get onto the VBB message board...the "OLD ONE"...the GOOD ONE... thru the holidays.
Many would only come around during the holidays. They are being shocked as to what happened to the "GOOD OLD MESSAGE BOARD". I know they aren't happy.

It's just very sad to see what has happened to the nestles site. I haven't been on in awhile.... got on today so hoping for a change.
No PM option. No posts when or if PM will be back.
Very sad....
So many friendships were made on the message boards. I guess the ones that traded emails & FB info are the lucky ones.
I'm thankful that I have several of the friends by doing that. There are many VBB that didn't . They will be very sad to see what has happened to the site as well.
I use to brag about the site, but now... :-((((((((((((((((.
