I am researching our family sugar cookie recipe that contains Carnation Evaporated Milk.  My family has been baking it each year for at least 60 years.  I'm not sure how much older the recipe may be, but I was wondering if it might have originally been a Carnation recipe.  Do you know of any sugar cookie recipes that might have been printed by Carnation either in the mid-1940's or earlier?  Here is the recipe:
2 sticks butter
2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup Carnation evaporated milk
3 3/4 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
We usually frost the cookies with a frosting made with powdered sugar, carnation milk and vanilla.

Thanks for the help with my research!  The recipe makes the best sugar cookies!

Sorry I don't have the answer offhand.  When I have an opportunity I will try to do some research.

In the meantime, thank you for the delicious recipe.  I am going to print it and save it to try.
