I went to Meijer today & asked for the holiday (red & green ) toppers, I was told the truck was being unloaded. I did my shopping & waited another 45 min. & the gentleman came back with "5" boxes of Nestle toppers, and they were all the white cho. they had 2 boxes on the shelf & 1 & 1/2 box of the cho. toppers but no holiday toppers. He said that was what Nestle sent, & he wondered what they were going to do with all the white morsels. I told him I was going to email and tell what happened & he said he was sorry that I made another trip (I went there yesterday & was told a truck would be there Sat.) for nothing. Maybe Nestle should come out with all red for Valentine's day & then I could mix with the white

We are so sorry that you waited for our Holiday Mini Morsel Topppers and didn't get what you were waiting for! We only ship what our retailers ask us to ship so sometimes the stores you go to do not carry all the products that we make. Have you tried Target? Most Targets are carrying our Holiday Mini Morsel Toppers. Please call them before you drive so that you are not disappointed!

We give up waiting for an answer from VBB, a group of us from Ohio want to know if the toll house chocolate chip cookies(recipe on bag) called for 1c. shortening instead of butter back in the 70's.Any of you bakers remember?

We were searching through the archives to find the oldest recipe possible and we found the original recipe which called for butter, not shortening. Hope this helps!

Wow! We were all wrong! Some said they had copied the recipe in writing from the bag back then-interesting. Those words ARCHIVE and OLDEST sure made me feel old!

I made the Chocolate Rhapsody over the weekend for a party....however the raspberry layer did not firm up very well. The most likely reason was that all the packages of frozen raspberries are now 12 oz instead of 10. I did not make any adjustments. I guess i should have added more cornstarch.. My solution was to put it in the freezer, which worked O.K. sort of like an ice cream cake. My question is could I use gelatin in the raspberry layer? I think it could be softened in 1/4 cup water and then melted in the hot raspberry mixture and just forget the cornstarch. Then fold in the whipped cream. What do your recipe wizards say??

My 1961 Betty Crocker cook book has a recipe for "Chocolate Chip Cookies" that calls for "2/3 cup shortening (part butter)".
The introduction says these cfookies were first introduced to the American homemakers in 1939 through Betty Crocker's series of radio talks on 'Famous Foods from Famous Eating Places".

Almost very printed word in the world has been transferred to the Internet. (oh, I wonder how) but radio words must be gone

We supply our retailers with the products that they select to sell. Some retailers prefer not to carry all of our products so we can only ship them what they've asked for. Are you referring to your local Target? They should have Holiday Red & Green Toppers!

In the past, Brownie Points were used to qualify for Sweepstakes to win prizes. We are working on improving the program so that more VeryBestBakers can earn rewards. We will be placing a survey on the site soon to get everyone's feedback. In the meantime, your points for 2010 will roll over to 2011 so that you will receive "credit" for your efforts when the new program begins.

Additionally, Swapped Recipes that were not saved to your recipe box will appear on the site today and should be searchable just like any other recipe on the site.

I am new to the site and so far I have liked what I see. But I have a question about the recipes. I have a boyfriend that eats everything under the sun, then I have myself who eats everything but fruits and veggies. Are there any ideas on recipes that I should consider that will accommodate both of us? Please get back to me soon so that I might be able to start making better dinners for the two of us.

Both can be refrigerated for 2 days after preparing; just make sure they are stored in closed containers/tight plastic wrap so that they do not absorb any strong odors other foods in your fridge may have. Happy Baking!
