I just want to see what the different font sizes look like .... IF they work.  This is standard 8 pt. And this is 10 pt, isn't it? 10 pt bold? I am astonished that the font sizes are work.

But, but, but when I typed all that last night the changes in font size DID work.   I could SEE it perfectly.
I guess I'll never figure out what's happening Frown

It is frustrating that the font size you select does not translate to the post that gets seen by everyone.
Also true that "size doesn't matter" but I have heard that that was a rumor started by a..oh never mind....

Nancy,  I agree, the font works great when typing the post.  With all the updates VBB has made, maybe eventually it will translate.  You have shown us the "bold" and "underline" work.  It's fun reading the posts regardless of the "size" of the print.  The weather is beautiful here in Texas!!!  Hope you are having a great day.

I hear you all! Most of the stuff with the fonts works....except for the size! I usually type mine in 3 (12 pt) but it never shows up in the post that way. Always small print like everyone elses posts. I just like it a bit larger so as not to strain my eyes!
Anyway, the underlined seems to work here as I type...........
And the italics seems to be showing here............
And the bold!
And of course, the Emotions Cool seem to work, too!!
Oh yeah! And the color also works....which I like the best because if you choose blue or red it's a lot easier to read!
What more can we ask for?!  LARGER PRINT......THAT'S WHAT!!!  LOL!!!

And since we are sharing weather reports....New York State...as least my area...was sunny, tho a bit chilly today. Had a snowstorm with three inches of snow last Monday with freezing temps....then the end of the week we had temps in the 70's!! Can you believe that?!

It's not larger, it is still approx. 10pt but, the all caps/bold/underlined makes it look larger. I set type for 8 years and learned all the little tricks of the trade.

You're welcome, H.M......I think we all are learning new things here! I know I'm very appreciative of all the help I receive and things I'm learning!

Nancy, I don't know! It was all typed in the same size 3 (12 pt). And yes, the print does look larger. But I think Cam is definitely right...the caps/bold/underlined simply makes it look larger! This one is typed in 4 (14 pt) but I doubt it will be that size!! Thing I don't understand is.....why are they offering different size fonts if they won't let us use them!!! Well....we use them...but they just don't show up that size in our posts!! Any answer to that, VBB?

Hey! I was just reading the posts on the "Curious...what do you do for Thanksgiving" discussion and noticed something! Check it out! Delia's print is definitely larger! How are you doing that, Delia? I always choose a larger size font, but always shows up small in the post. I'd sure like to know your secret!

Cam - 40+ years ago I worked in a newspaper ...... I was there when  we switched from type set to offset. Wow, that was difficult.
