Hi Mary Ann! Unfortunately, at this time, Brownie Points are not used for anything. However, we will have some exciting new promotions and wonderful changes to our Brownie Points program that we hope you will stay tuned for. Although we do not have an exact date for these changes, we can tell you that they are coming sometime this year!

VBB is working on this. So far there's nothing to do but continue to collect the points! We are lobbying for redeeming them for free/discounted baking related things, and/or coupons for free chocolate chips, etc.

Will the Brownie points that we have collected ever expire? Depending when you are able to have promotions or offers that we could get using our Brownie points...will the ones we currently have saved be able to be used...or do we have to start all over again in the new year?

That is a great question Darlene! At this time, Brownie Points are set back to 0 at the beginning of every year, however, with the exciting changes that will be coming soon, this can always change.

Thank you for your reply. It would be great to know that we could just continue to collect points from year to year until we have enough to convert for prizes...or maybe you could let us collect points for one year,,,and then give us a period of time to redeem them pending on the availability of rewards that are offered...

Mary Jo, at this time, Brownie Points are not used for anything. However, we have some exciting new promotions and wonderful changes to our Brownie Points program coming very soon! You should see these changes hit our website sometime this year!

I have been a member for a few years and have never redeemed any accumulated points. Each year starts anew. It's really rediculous. I never understood why you accumulated points, for what reason? now it is being stated they were never used for anything but this year there will be a change. I recall reading this before but nothing was ever done.

Caroline, it is so great to hear from a loyal Very Best Baker! I'm sorry if you did not know in the past, but our Brownie Points were used to enter our Very Best Bakers in giveaways that we had. Every contest had a minimum amount of Brownie Points needed to enter, and if you had the minimum amount required, you would have been automatically entered. While we can not release information yet about our new Brownie Point program, I can let you know that we are still working on it, and it should be exciting!

I remember the giveaways. I always had enough points to enter, but never won anything. I always wondered if they were actually giving anything away or just promoting. I remember when the one with the most brownie points won something, but that was several years ago.

I am ready for some "exciting changes" for brownie points. I think It would be fantastic to use them for baking items or coupons for free Nestles cookies (the refrigerated ones) or chips to make my own.
